A set of revision booklets designed for students who are sitting the AQA GCSE Biology Paper 1 exam. There is a specific booklet for:
• Biology Separate Science
• Trilogy Combined Science
These booklets have been updated and adapted for 2023 exams onwards in which all content within the specification is included. If you purchased these booklets for the 2022 exam series, please note that some of the pages are the same, however many have been edited and updated.
The booklets have been designed to support students with the content of the curriculum and provide them with lots of short and extended response questions (along with model answers) that students can learn and practice.
Within the revision booklet there is:
• An overview of the exam including the topics that they will be assessed on. These topic titles follow the AQA textbook.
• A selection of shorter response questions that are frequently assessed for the content in the exam.
• For each topic there is also a selection of predictions for possible extended response questions that are likely to come up in the exam series of 2023. This section provides clear guidance on how the question should be approached, along with a model answer and further practice for students to complete.
• A section on the required practicals. Within this section there is an overview of the practical method which is then followed by some short response questions and then some extended response questions.
Bundles of these revision resources are now available through my store.

AQA Biology GCSE Paper 1 Revision Powerpoints
Revision powerpoints to include:
-Topic 1 Cell Biology
-Topic 2 Organisation
-Topic 3 Infection and response
-Topic 4 Bioenergetics
These have been written for triple Biology students but I have indicated on the slides that are triple only so this can be adapted for Combined students.
A perfect resource for the last few lessons before the upcoming exams. Takeaway revision resources for students. These resources cover B1, B2, B3 and B4 and highlight what topics students must independently revise. A set of exam questions targeted at higher tier students on topics that have been frequently assessed.
AQA GCSE required practical revision notes/sheets covering all of the Biology Required Practicals (for triple science).
Despite being worth 15% of the marks, so many students don’t allocate specific revision time to the required practicals. I designed these sheets for my own students to encourage specific revision of the practicals and have seen a great improvement in practical knowledge and the ability to answer practical-based questions.
Each sheet includes an example method and most importantly, exam-style questions and model answers.
The model answers for the exam-style questions have been written based on previous mark schemes, but I cannot guarantee that future mark schemes will be exactly the same. The model answers are for guidance only. Students should be encouraged to use these sheets as a starting point and update/annotate them with any further information as needed.
A collection of visually appealing worksheets focusing on how the leaf is suited to photosynthesis and also limiting factors of photosynthesis.
A visually appealing set of two worksheets/placemats for GCSE students on firstly, the structure of the leaf and how it is adapted for photosynthesis, and secondly, the process of photosynthesis and limiting factors.
Perfect for use when both teaching the topic area and also for revision. Each worksheet should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.
As a suggestion the resource could be laminated and completed by students using OHP pens and then cleaned off for future use with other pupils.
These sheets could even be used as a short progress test with students too.
An answer sheet is included for both worksheets for teachers.
